Types of vacuum cleaners
Knowing the basic features of many different types of vacuum cleaners is important before buying. This will help you determine which type is the most suitable for your use. When it comes to vacuum cleaning your home, flat…etc you have to deal with different jobs. For example, cleaning the carpet will be different from the parquet floor.
Upright vacuum cleaners
This kind is based on a single stick supporting the handle and recipient which will hold the dirt. The name is derived from the ability to stand in an upright position. It has intake and exhaust ports, a motor, and a bag to collect dust and debris. When we switch the vacuum cleaner the rotating brushes sweep the carpet and the fan suctions the dirt. The dirt will be collected in a bag located just above the motor. The air will exit through the exhaust port. The port is equipped with a filter that keeps the dirt and dust in the bag.
Canister Vacuum Cleaners
A canister vacuum has a long wand which is attached to a canister by a flexible hose. The motor, fan, and receptacle that collects the dust are housed in the canister. Since the canister is mounted on wheels you can pull the vacuum cleaner around the room as you clean.
The canister vacuum cleaner has a variety of attachments which makes it highly versatile and capable of cleaning numerous surfaces. Canister vacuums are useful for vacuuming upholstery, wood floors, stairs, low-pile rugs, drapes, and other hard-to-reach areas, such as underneath furniture and in corners
This kind of vacuum cleaner is easier to use (thanks to a flexible hose) and quieter compared to a traditional upright vacuum cleaner, also they are typically more expensive and harder to store.
Handheld Vacuum Cleaners
A handheld vacuum is a small appliance that usually people use beside the upright vacuums. Their compact size and portability make them a good choice to clean small spills and accessing hard-to-reach areas like stairs, corners, and car interiors.
Handheld vacuums are relatively cheap and they are available in cord and cordless models. Models equipped with cords are usually more powerful but the cord length may limit the usage range. So if you want to use it for car interior cleaning the one with a cord will be the right choice.
Stick Vacuums
This type of vacuums is lightweight and easy to store and best suited for light quick cleaning jobs. They are great for hard floors or low-pile carpet cleaning. However, they lack the power and capacity necessary for regular and thorough cleaning.
Industrial & Commercial Vacuum Cleaners
Commercial vacuums are high-capacity vacuum cleaners that are used to keep large spaces and industrial environments like offices, warehouses, factories, and hotels clean, safe, and free of harmful contaminants.
